How Can I Be Involved?

STM Clothing and Household Center

For a small shopping fee,
customers on a limited budget
and in emergency situations may shop from
donated clothing and housewares.

Staffed by volunteers, the center
serves 400-500 families per month.

Items for selection by customers are donated by
individuals, churches and groups.

The center is open
Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday
 9:00 am to 12 Noon, 
And again on Thursday evenings
 5:30-7:00 pm

The Clothing and Household center always needs the following items, but will receive almost anything you wish to donate.  Tax receipts are available.  Drop-off times are the same times we are open.  Other times may be coordinated by calling 336-888-6091.  We also welcome monetary donations.

New and Gently used items needed are:
Men's Clothing - (esp. sizes XL and XXL)
Women's Clothing - (esp. sizes XL and XXL)
Boy's Clothing - (esp. sizes 2,3,4 and 14,16,18)
Girl's
 Clothing - (esp. sizes 2,3,4  and 14,16,18)
Infants (esp. disposable diapers, sleepwear, blankets, car seats, carriers,   high chairs and strollers)
Kitchen Items - (esp. eating and cooking utensils, bowls, linens, cookware)
Household linens - (esp. bath towels & washcloths, all sizes fitted sheets, standard pillowcases, comforters and spreads, blankets, mattress covers, bed pillows, rugs)
Small appliances in working condition - (esp. clocks, radios, TV's, toaster ovens, coffee makers, irons, heaters, fans, microwave ovens)
Cookbooks, Christian books(esp. Large Print bibles), magazines
(esp. women's, sports, Reader's Digest, Our State)
Batteries (all sizes for the Christmas Toy Giveaway)

Hygiene items (esp. motel/hotel samples, bar soaps, deodorants, shaving creams and disposable razors, toothpastes, toothbrushes)
Shopping bags and paper grocery bags with handles.

At this time we have limited means of picking up donated items.
We NEED a pick up volunteer and/or an ENCLOSED TRUCK
